Cliff Dancing
What do you get when you cross rock climbing with dance? They call it Project Bandaloop, a company that "creates a blend of dance, sport, ritual, and environmental awareness." The photographs and videos on their website offer an opportunity to celebrate both divine and human creativity.
Members of Project Bandaloop were in Dallas this week as part of the grand opening of a new building. We went to see them, and I took a few pictures. They were not dangling from a cliff in Colorado, but it still looked like fun. I heard someone in the crowd say that the dancers' moves were "death defying," but that was overly dramatic. They never appeared to be in any danger. Their dance, however, was life affirming, and that was far better. It was creative, exhuberant play.
